Taking care of acros they may collect detritus?

I was wondering if you guys ever go around maybe once a month or something like with a turkey aster and blow off your corals to get anything that may staying in the branches of your sps?? I know i do it to my monti because he seems to collect some detritus every once in a blue moon.

I have a cap that collects a small amount of detritus, when I notice the debris I'll give it a good fanning. I will eventually be receiving 2 wavyseas. Hopefully this will eradicate this problem.

Yeah I second that idea a good wave maker will help but I certainly would not wait a week... soon as you notice the detritus blow it off...I personally use a small powerhead when this happens.... but it happens much less since I got my Tunze wavebox!
