Taking care of an empty tank

So I have an empty acrylic tank kept in the garage. Is their anything that needs to be done in order to preserve its integrity

I stored my glass 150 little long on end in my unheated garage for about 5 years. I used it to store garden tools in. Rinsed it and used it.

Sooo no love taps when parking? Anything else, like would washing the seams and silicone down with a damp cloth every week be beneficial?

Not sure of the type of acrylic or if this would apply. But acrylic will absorb water and swell. Some acrylic needs to be kept wet to maintain strength. I am not sure if the acrylic of a tank would or could become brittle if it's too dry. If you live in a humid area you're probably fine. If the humidity is low where you are at you may want to wrap the tank in something to keep it from drying out. Again, I have no idea if this would apply to acrylic tanks (even though I have a couple), I'm just going by experience with other types of plastics that need to be kept conditioned.

That's the fear I had. It will only be left empty for 4 months tops, but I want to keep it pristine and make sure no loss of integrity in the acrylic.

I left an 85 gallon ******* acrylic flat back in my basement for 10 years after being used as a home for a snake. I recently brought the tank back out and it was in perfect shape minus some scratches (from the previous inhabitant) which were removed using Novus products. It is now being prepared for Fish/Reef.
I would not worry about 4 months.
