Any suggestions on taking out old bulk heads. Now that I get to keep my 180.
Oh yeah I didn't tell you all, Land lord came by yesterday, said he heard I was trying to sell the 180 again. Said that I could keep it, the floor was fine. When I told him after checking out some of the equipment I was going to need, and the electrical need, that I didn't think it was a good idea. Since all the outlets in the living room and the dinning room were all on the same curcuit. He came back by about an hour later and told me the electrician would be here tomorrow (today) at around noon. just put a "X" on the wall were I want my new outlets to go, and he will put them on their own curcuit. I couldn't beleive that one. So it looks like I'm on again with the 180. So back to the question.
When the last owner drain the tank he just cut the plumbing, I was told that is norm. (I don't know, never bought a big tank, never had a sump, and never bought used, So this is all new to me) So anyway, I have bulk head still in the tank with the overflows still attached and maybe 2 to 3 in of sump plumbing on the bottom. I tried to unscrew them but they won't move, Not sure if they are glued or years of salt build up in there. So what is the safest,, and best way to get those babies off of there. I don't beleive they are any good to me the way they are.
