Talbot's Damsel

Hi all!

I was curious how well a Talbot's Damsel would fit in with my current stock of an orange firefish, a Kaudern's cardinal and a McCosker wrasse in a mixed reef 40g breeder? I have read that the Talbot's are quite docile for a damsel, but am not sure if they would fit in well with my current stock. Thanks!

Thanks for the advice. I will probably pass on this fish since I don't want to deal with removing a neighborhood bully down the line.

I had one. It's docile. You can put 3 in your tank.

Talbot's Damsel

dont mean to hijack the thread but would a group do well if they were the only fish?

Yes. They are schooling (not to the same extent as Chromis) fish in the wild and do not require large area for swimming. You can have other fish provided there's enough space. If I had enough room I would definitely put a group of 3 or 5 of Talbots, Azures or Yellowtails. All are nicely colored and can be kept in small groups.

Thanks for the input everyone. I don't need to cause unnecessary trouble in the tank so I think the Talbot's is off.

What would be some reasonable tank mates for this crew? I was considering a royal gramma for the wonderful coloration, or maybe some type of goby or blenny (maybe a tailspot, unless they would go after my clam). It can be so tough to make good, responsible fish selections!
