Talk about luck

I decided it was time to pick up a portable generator yesterday. . . well power has been off since 6:15 AM and Comed just said they should have it restored by noon tomorrow. I hated to spend the money on a generator, so many things i could buy for the tank, but i knew it was time. Well as i'm sitting here with the furnace, refrig, tank, TV, and a few lights on, i sure am lucky i decided it was time to buy one.

Someone else from Dwight posted about losing their power. Good thing you were ready. Do you watch The Office? Living in Dwight after a couple episodes would be hilarious. lol

what'd you get? that must be big to run the furnace... is it running off of your breaker box?

I got an 8000 watt Honda. It doesn't have an auto transfer switch, but i'm still working on that. I just wire it into the circuits that i want to run at the breaker box for the time being.
