Hi, I've looked through quite a few threads on popeye. My tang has had popeye about 5 days, likely from netting in the move from QT to display. Still only mild to moderate--and he's eating like a horse. My 2 questions are:
1) How bad should I let the popeye progress before I try to capture and put in my QT? Some threads suggest waiting quite a while before stressing the animal with move to QT
2) Several people on the popeye threads suggest crushing Maracyn, liquifying, and soaking in food.
Does anyone have any horror stories or objections to this method?
ALSO, what dose (e.g., how much of the pill) should I crush?
My tang is my most aggressive eater (thankfully). Would the medicated food harm any of my other 3 fish that may consume it,
or corals/inverts?
