Tang id

This little guy was apparently a mimic tang but it doesn't look like one to me.

its still small 3" or so, so maybe still juvi colouration. It looks very similar to a Caribbean Blue but i'm sure the shipment was from the indo pacific. Any ideas?

No, Your right, It's a Juvenile Mimic Tang.

Any idea on the exact species. I didn't actually think it was a mimic. The fins are very different to the lemon peel mimics i've seen so would appreciate being able to find more about it. Tangs really aren't my thing so i don't know that much about them tbh.

Think i've found it Ctenochaetus cyanocheilus, that's going by my thinking its a bristletooth species and it fits the bluelip perfectly.

It's definitely a Ctenochaetus. I would lean towards Ctenochaetus cyanocheilus.
