Over at a buddies and saw this...

Both his Nigers were also suffering along with his Blue Tang.

The healthy fish in the tank consisted of a Huma and a little blue spotted Puffer (I forget the name of him).

He's never done a water change and is using bio-balls!

And no this isn't my tank!

Looks like he's definitely got some LLE (lateral line erosion)

I keep telling him to use Divers Den man but he won't listen! I gave him most of the aggressive fish in his tank; a beautiful Picasso, Clown, & Niger trigger, a beautiful Blue Dotted Puffer, and a Melanurus Wrasse.

He bought a Blue Hippo from a questionable LFS down in Phoenix and it all went downhill from there. No QT tank was used. I keep telling him he can use mine but it never happens.

Funny thing though, the Picasso is probably the most beautiful, fat, colorful and overall healthiest looking Huma I've ever seen. There's also a few more fish in the tank that seem to be unaffected.

I'm about to look up LLE right now to read up on it and I'm going to assume this effects tangs more than anything?

Thnx for the reply.

Most everyone else must have thought this thread was a joke, lol.

Fish from any and all sources should be quarantined and that includes Divers Den.

+1 DD conditions the fish, gets them eating and (I believe) soaks fish food in praziquantel. That protocol doesn't address ich, velvet, etc.

I've never seen symptoms of ich on fish from DD, but all I've treated have passed parasites after being fed food with fenbendazole.

I have heard of people getting ich from DD fish. They're usually healthier specimens worth the higher initial cost, but they should all get full QT.
