I love to see people's shots of their Tangs so I figured I'd start a thread to show mines and hopefully see others!

My Atlantic Blue Tang, oddly enough this is one of my favorite tangs. Although he's quite the fiesty one, he also has the most characteristics. Can't wait for him to have his full mature color (deep blue)

Good looking tangs! Love the Atlantic blue myself. Ive collected them for awile now and im still trying to figure out what makes the color change happen. Ive seen them blue at very small juveniles when most of them are in the yellow stage, and ive also seen them 8" adults in the yellow stage when most that size are blue. Every fish is different

Thank you :) I've heard that the color change comes with dominance. I wouldn't say thats a fact but it makes one wonder as I've had the same questions as you. Id prefer mine to have those deep blues that mature ones get.

Great photos and awesome tangs you have, I just lost my purple tang due to an ick infection. Had my PT for almost 3yrs, I just added a Venustus and he got stressed out so bad that was covered with white specks within 24hrs. šŸ˜“šŸ˜
Good luck with yours!!!

Thanks guys! Turkleton, I went on a mission to get the atlantic blue. I called a bunch of LFS around the tampa area and no one had them. I had a local reef warehouse in new port richey check with their suppliers and none had them so she eventually reached out to an invert collector out in the keys to see if he could catch one.. after several failed attempts he went to a huge aquarium in the keys and purchased one they had caught and mailed it to her.. i ended up picking it up at around 11pm when it arrived lol.
Aww sorry to hear AJ! :/ my purple had a really bad ich outbreak when first introduced.. the brown was relentless on him.. I didnt think he was going to make it so i started dosing food with selcon and feeding tons of nori.. he made a full recovery thankfully

What size tank and are those the Mars Aqua LED's your running? I have three on a 125 and I've been happy so far but in this hobby your always wondering if there is something better or different to try. Do you plan to add more corals in the future? Tangs have always been my favorite fish and yours look great.

210 with a 75 gallon sump. I do want to add more corals but Ive been hesitant because im just renting a house and plan on only being here for another year so dont want to invest too much then have to breakdown and risk losing corals during the move. Those are the chinese full spectrum LEDs.. ive had them for about 8 months and they have been great!
