Tang

What would be a resonable tank size for hippo and a yelow tang. I got a 55 gallon tank with a pair of clown fish. Also some damsel i plan on getting rid of eventually

I've kept a yellow in a 55 for 10 years (sold it) no problems. But this opens up a can of worms for the "tang police" lol. Good luck with this question....

I'd say a standard 125 (72" x 18" footprint) is as small as I would go for any kind of long term plans.

You might want to look into a tomini tang. Great personality and they stay on the small side...... as tangs go anyway.

No less than 90. 125+ preferred. I had my regal since she was the size of a nickle. Two years later she is the size of my hand. The 75 was way too small. The 150 that I recently switched to is barely enough.

Thank you for all your advice. I guess i will wait for a few years till i can upgrade my tank.
