Tangs usually show signs of HLLE?

Was at store today and asked a very knowledgeable reefer about a yellow tang that was there. He confirmed my suspicion of early HLLE. He said that a lot if not most zebrasoma species arrive with early stages of HLLE and it is easily remedied by a stress free environment and good feeding. I was surprised by this yet I often see these tangs afflicted in the stores.

He did relate that he has purchased many over the years as stated and it just goes away with the proper care. Do you agree with this assertion? Thanks

If Im not mistaken HLLE is not seen in wild fish. The only time Ive seen HLLE on fish that are still at the LFS is when they have sat there for a long time. I agree with the previous poster, if Im buying a tang or any fish for that matter, it better be healthy.

In a perfect world all fish we buy would be healthy but since that's not gonna happen I personally wouldn't worry to much because with good feedings (NLS pellets worked for me) and a stress free tank and the HLLE will disappear
