How well do yellow and blue tangs get along? Anyone have both in their tanks?

i had a medium yellow tang in my 180 and about 6 months later i added a large 2x's the size hippo and there were no problems at all i just had to rearange the rock work and there was little to no aggression

Each Tangs character if different....rearrange the rock work make places to hide and let us know!

I have one of each and they are very peacefull to each other,
when I first got the blue the yellow had been in the tank for several months and he was not pleased with the newcomer! the blue was much smaller than the yellow back then.
at first the yellow would constantly try to "spike" him that went on for about 2 weeks I was very worried he might hurt him but finaly they just chilled out and have been grazing buds ever since!

i have both along with several other tangs. I had the blue with a yellow in a 55 when i first started, they got along fine, then went to a 240 still no problems, then got the 310 and got rid of the yellow tang in the process, kept the blue and added another yellow tang and the blue never bothered him. I got rid of the old yellow cuz he had some top fin damage from a disease he suffered in my 55 and it never grew back. Just some info for ya.

I also have a sailfin and an achilles tang along with these two guys no problems ever.

checkinhawk - yes the yellow i got from you is doing great. He is very active and eats everything. He's the only fish that freaks out when my dog sits near the tank and is watching them swim around.
