Yep... 40b is an awesome tank size IMO.. drill it and add your own sump (another 40b)

OR are you looking for recommendations for an all ready to go plug and play system or something?
Got a budget?
Where are you located?
Any future plans?

Would like to spend less than $500 if possible. An AIO would be nice as well.

So are you capable or wanting to drill/DIY a system yourself or do you want out of the box ready?

I'm not sure you will find an out of the box tank/sump system worth a damn for under $500.. But you can certainly get close to that making your own/buying bulkheads/diamond hole saw/plumbing,etc...

With a budget that low I would suggest skipping the sump as you really can't do much for that price..

I agree that a 40 breeder is right up your alley. $500 bucks isn't much though. I think you could be close to that if you can get the petco 40$ deal, black box LEDs, hydor koralia or similar pumps, and go skimmerless.

Good to know. I dont have the slightest clue about drilling. Might go with the AIO with sump in back

Drilling is super easy. There are plenty of YouTube videos to show you how to do it. I bought the glass cutting drill bits on eBay for $15.

If you want an aio system there is a SC Aquariums 50 pnp tank on Amazon for $695 shipped to your house. I know that is more than your budget, but it includes everything you need. Sump, skimmer, plumbing, tank, and stand. It doesn't include a light but you can pick up a cheap mars aqua for around $90 on eBay or Amazon. That would be a complete setup.
