Tank background

1) What's the sticky, vinyl (I think) material called that you can use as a black background on your tank?

2) Where can I get it locally? I've seen reference to getting it in sign shops... I have no idea where to find a sign shop. Do LFSs carry it?

I need to get some in the next couple of days, so ordering it isn't an option.

Sign shops have 3mm vinyl but you can also get the OceanVisions which is basically the same. It works great!

Clayton Pet Emporium is the only LFS that I know of that sells it.

Kelly wicked stickers is St peters has it there located of the north service road about 1 /2 mile down the road from where I work.

quick question...since I left the hobby maybe something changed....is spray paint considered not good anymore?

It is just hard to get off the vinly is just easer to get off and imo just looks better. ( smoother )

Thanks, John!

latazyo, I would have considered spraypaint if I didn't already have the tank in my living room... No way we're hauling that thing outside to paint, and then hauling it back inside!

if spraypaint is an option i suggest the color fusion.. sticks great to glass. i'll be going to get some vinyl this weekend.
