Tank break down sale.......

Herbie

Yep,that one
All,
I have a move coming up in my near future, and although I dont want to, I will need to break down the tank for quite a while.
I want my fish, and anemone to to go to a good home.
Selling my mated and breeding pair of occ. clownfish along with "their" very large and heathy H. Crispa anemone. All in very heathy condition, clowns spawn every week like clockwork, I just havent had the time to raise the fry. Also included would be the spawning rock to keep them happy and spawning. The Crispa is very large and healthy. Will include a styrofoam transport container, that the clowns, anemone and rock will fit in. $250. or b/o

1 Very nice Flame angel, in perfect shape, no marks and eats well. $35.
1 Very nice Yellow Tang, in perfect shape, no marks and eats well. $20.

Package deal for all, 1st $250. takes them all.

Note, that all fish are eating flake food with no problem.
They coexist perfectly together.

Here are some pics. You can see a new batch of eggs on the rock.

Herbie,

I have 4 clowns. 2 black, 2 orange. Are 6 too many in a 120g? Mine host in toadstool corals. I have no anemones. Are they hard to keep/feed?

Also, how large is the tang? I have a dominant PBT, so a YT would need to be at least 5 inches.

Sorry for not updating this post .
The fish, anemone and live rock are all gone.
I have a thread started for the equipment sell off already.
Thanks,
Herbie

Herbie,

Can you help me anyway?

Are anemones hard to keep?

I have 8 54w T5s. 4clowns that love several toadstools.

Do I need/want an anemone?

Also, what did you find as best food for the clowns?

Thanks

Tim

Tim,
Anemones are not really easy to keep, but you do have the proper lighting for an anemone. If your tank is established for at least 1 year, or more, and you feel you have been in this hobby long enough to consider yourself "experienced", than I would go for it. I would try an easier anemone species first, like a bubble tip.
My clowns were trained to eat flake food. But they loved frozen from time to time. I feel its always best to get your fish to accept flake, than supplement with frozen whenever you feel like it. Feeding frozen everyday gets to be a pita.
Good Luck,
Herbie
