Tank build guide

I am looking for a basic materials guide, tips and tricks, and other pertinent information to building a tank for fish and possibly coral. Ideas on useful fill/drain inlets, outlets, filter, etc. would be wonderful. I assume building a closed-loop system would not be terribly challenging, but don't even know where to start.

Eager to start, but I know what I don't know can get me in trouble.

Are you asking to custom build from panels, or start with a standard tank?
As the questions make it sound like you want to start a tank, which isnt overly difficult, but it also could be you want to actually build the tank it self, which can be a daunting task...
