Tank buy

I found a smoking deal from someone that wants out of the hobby. He is selling me his fully loaded 55g Flat Back Hex. I just want the live rock and livestock and not the tank. He has an empty 93g Cube that I am interested in though. I want to buy the 93 and stock it with all the Green and Red BTAs from the 55hex. While I am getting everything set up and dialed it, I plan on putting the BTAs in plastic baskets and hanging them in my 125. Here is the question, Should I separate the RBTAs from GBTAs or does it matter? If everything works out right I will be doing a BTA, clownfish harem tank.

Doesn't matter.

Thank you. I didn't think it would but I didn't want to risk it. He has about 18 total. If my count was right he had about 10 GBTAs and 8 RBTAs. I may be off though. Some were pretty small. I actually went to look at the coral, the BTAs were a bonus.

Just how small? They could be Mojano's. There are Majanos that look like both green and red bubble tip anemones, even down to the bubbles. Need pictures to ID.

Here is a crappy phone pic. As you can see all of the BTAs are slightly bleached. They look cartoonish and fake but they are not.

Deton, that Euphyllia in the first picture bottom right is amazing. Can't make out if it's a frogspawn or a hammer? Oh and how many heads does it have?? I'm guessing 75-100? That is unreal how big it is. Now we need a better picture of it. PLEASE? :D

It is a Hammer and you are right, he says it is 80-100 heads. The back side of it is a Frogspawn with another 15-20. I would have picked this up yesterday but I am trying to figure out the logistics. That Leather and Hammer are going to take up a lot of real estate. I am going to have to re-scape my 125 and possibly my wife's 55. The rock has some aiptasia so I want to kill them but it also has all of those BTAs. I am going to try to remove the BTAs and put them in a basket in my tank. if I am successful I can then treat the aiptasia in a rubbermaid. I don't see this being a fast move. LOL

Best thing I ever did for aiptasia was to get a Matted File fish. They're good citizens as well. I was watching mine a few mins ago eating an aiptasia :D He touches nothing else, and eats well when I feed the tank. He loves frozen mysis and frozen mix but will also eat NLS pellets. My tank is heavy LPS with a few SPS and a few leathers.

As you can tell the BTAs are slightly bleached. Do you think light will be enough to color them up or should I feed them too? I have a little RBTA in my 125 that I feed maybe once a week. He was healthy when I got him so I didn't need to color him up.

Always feed a bleached anemone, but sparingly. Feed a few mysis shrimp or a clump of frozen mix the size of a pencil eraser twice a week. Don't over do it because that will stress them out more.

I went and got everything. The Hammer was extremely brittle. It was a giant colony and now it is a bunch of frags. Just picking it up was snapping pieces off

I sold 7 heads but this is how it looks now. I have lots of ones and twos down on the sand bed, about 15 in my son's tank, and about 5 in my 125.
