Because my oldest girl moved back home I had to turm her old room/ my fish room, back into her room. So I was forced to move my sump from my old fish room, back under my tank. Replaced my Reeflo/Dart and OceansMotions with Seio's. Also built a new sump that would allow room for Ballast and such but also allow me to enlarge the size of my refugium.
I decided to replace the old sand bed in the old sump with a new sand bed. Used the same live rock and algae, hopefully this will not cause dramatic effects on my main system. All test remained the same if not an improvment.
Currently only running with one overflow, still need to install the second one tomorrow.
Here are a couple of pics of the new split sump. And if anyone needs some Cheato I have plenty extra. I will post updated pics of the main tank in the next couple of days, if everything still looks as good as it did before I started this little project.
New sump Specs:
Refugium = 28 x 16.5 x 16 (If this thing was a half inch longer it wouldn't have fit without removing the tank. I also have just under a half inch of clearence between the back and front braces.)
Return Sump = 16 x 16 x 16
