I have had my tank for approx. 6yrs, it was a friend of mines for almost 8yrs prior to that, the original move when great, lost not a single coral or fish, moved recently lost almost everything other than what I quickly ran to the LFS for them to babysit, been 2+ months and cannot get my water back to that parameters that it was at before.
I succeeded at getting everything close to normal but still maintaining a higher than normal ammonia level... nitrates, nitrites, phosphates at 0
I cannot get the hair algae under control or get my ammonia down
another question is one I have always had with my bubble coral, it has never looked nice and filled in like all the other ones everyone else posts...mine is always fully splayed open with the bubble in a ring all around the edges, is there some way I can make him happier so he looks more esthetically pleasing? he is almost 15 yrs old and has always been a great eater but just doesn't look as nice as I would like...help please
