Tank Controller Progress

Well here are the first real pics of the project.
I wanted the switches and buttons to be concealed but, easy to use.

So I went down to Tap today and got a tiny scrap of blue plexi, and had them cut it to my specs. Then came home glued it together, and then drilled the switch holes.

This is what the switches control in order from left to right

Moon lights (Auto/ON)
PC Lights (Auto/ON/OFF) 3 pos switch
MH Lights (Auto/ON/OFF) 3 pos switch
Powerheads (ON/OFF)
Skimmer Pump (ON/OFF)
Autotop Off (Auto/OFF)
Return Sump (ON/OFF)
Feed Button (15 mins Return Sump OFF) Push Button

I also plan to put a small switch on the door, so when it's closed the work light will turn off. (Fuge light will be on a timer).

So... no heater overides, no fuge light overides, no fan overides, and no white LEDs overide. These will all be controled by the internal timer and temp probe.

I plan to add labels to all the switches all in good time. This is just the begining so far..

Here are the pic let me know what you think..

Nice job Steve! Can you walk me through my nano cube light retro so I don't blow myself up again? :D

Auto for lights, means the timers will control it. So you have have auto/ or ALL OFF no mater what the timer says, and ALL ON no matter what the timer says.

For autotop off Auto means control the pump via float switches, and you use OFF, to do a water change so it does not keep trying to add water while you are removing it.

Shelia, What did you do!?!?! What were you trying to do??
I'm sure we can help ya out some for sure.

I can follow a wiring diagram, I replaced Fulham ballasts in other fixtures with no sparks. A cheap ballast with a bad diagram was part of the problem, I suspect. The other hardware problem was this nut right here.

Well, the lights were working until I tried to wire into the switch. Then the plug went pow and melted into the gfci outlet. OK, skip the switch, I'll use it on a timer. It was working until it was time for the timer to shut off. Smoke, stink, bad things, right? I think the bulbs, lens and hood are all I can safely re-use.

I see, auto is wired to a timer and on is wired directly to the fixture.
Do you use a homemade power strip or a commercial power distribution box?
