I took the glass tops off my tank. The lights were really heating it up. It is a room divider with no canopy. My lights are Coralife on 4 Inch legs. What can I use to keep my fish from jumping out? I thought of egg crate ceiling grid but The lights would melt the ones I found at Lowe's. Any advice? Pat

I very much doubt that your coralife light will get hot enough to cause problems with a glass top... I run the aquapro four foot set up myself and yes it gets hot but... stick with the glass.

If worst comes to worst.. you can always place a small clip on fan in that area to blow cooler air across the glass.

Thanks Ron;
I'll give the glass a try I trhink i'm getting to a point where i'm listening to everything i'm told and panicing.

Reefers ,,we can rebuild our tanks. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic reef. Better... stronger... faster....

lol.. yeah I have a rather large box of projects, chemicals, books, tubes, tanks, pipes, valves, lights, bottles etc etc etc that have all gone south in regards to our tank... .. didn't know when I got into this that it would become the six million dollar tank. Panic was a factor in our build as well.. "oh no.. oh heck, that wont do .. quick get your wallet.. Don't know what we are fixing but we can fix it but we have to do it now.. I just read on the net that if you don't have one of these gas injected vitamin enhanced triple coil over superflillator things, our fish will explode.... the fate of all our fish are at stake. Quick honey quick run dammit run argh!!!!!" Who knew salt water was sooo complicated
