Okay so i recently moved my 46g tank after almost everything died off. I did a 50% with the move and cleaned the tank and put new sand in. I have lots of detruis already from off the LR. The only thing left living on from my tank was a 1 eyed clownfish. So what im asking is, What should a cleaning crew consist of in a 46g tank. Mainly to keep algea and detruis down.

Some people are opposed to hermits so you could include them or not, but I would do something like this:

10-15 hermits (red legs and dwarf blue legs mixture)
6 nassarius snails
12 astrea snails
2 turbo snails
1 emerals mithrix crab
maybe a sailfin blenny or rainsford goby

I always vacuum my sandbeds top layer with every water change to remove detritis.
I have a variety of snails and hermits including more than 6 nassarius but the sand still needs cleaning.

I always like to do a combination of snails astrea, turbo, nassarius, cerith, or mexican turbo snails. I would go with about 20 or so.

I would put a few scarlet hermit crabs in with the others as well.

Skunk cleaner shrimp are good. They clean your fish, and are great scavengers too. They will work on the rocks, and the sand bed. 2 should be okay.

Emerald crabs are good scavengers.

Good Luck!!!

Fireworms too if you don't have them already. They don't seem like they do much because you hardly ever see them (they like the dark) but I have a bunch in my 'fuge along with 2 turbos and it stays nice and clean.
