just put 120 lbs of live rock in my new tank what is next and how long for it to cycle

Is the live rock cured or uncured? How big of a tank?
You will need test kits to test for ammonia and nitrite. Ammonia will gradually increase to a peak then will decline, then nitrite will increase to a peak then will decline. You want both ammonia and nitrite to be 0 ppm. At which point you can add some hardy fish to get started. This whole process would take between 30 and 90 days depending on tank conditions.

It depends on the tank and rock. Generally 6-8 weeks for a complete cure.
