My dog is bigger than my tank...

...odd. When I got Angus from the pound 12 years ago, he used to sit in front of my FOWLR and tilt his head from side to side watching the copepods in the lava rock substrate. I was a rebel back then... no UGF.

When the tank got picked up last weekend, he was sooooo happy!

Hehe looks like Angus is alot happier and he already took over the spot where the tank was. Well hopefully you'll still stay in the hobbie.

He used to lay behind it in the corner where I had my "walkway" behind the tank. Now that the new little tank is in that corner, he seems a little miffed about losing his favorite spot to snooze, but he has the rest of the house -- he'll get over it.

Why did you change out your tank?

Many complicated reasons involving priorities. In am oversimplified nutshell, though, because I like the dog better than the fish tank! He needs some very expensive ongoing medical care and attention. Something had to give or I was going to be in the poorhouse.

I miss the big tank and my breeding pairs, but Angus has been 100% loyal and faithful to me for many years, and I feel confident I made the right decision. I have many more years to have a big fish tank; I only have a year or two left with him.
