tank edges over border of platform

my 120 gallon is finally in,

have a temporary stand in the garage with cinder blocks and wood to check for leaks

but the piece of wood i have is 48 x 24 inches and the dimensions of the tank is 48 1/2 x 24 1/2 inches

does it matter if the edge of the tank is a quarter of an inch over the border of the wood all the way around???

or am i just paranoid? (which is more likely)

I would do it. But then again... I would check for leaks in my living room. But if your woried about it just get a bigger piece of plywood. The cost of that plywood may save the cost of the tank!

Good call...it should be fine if you'll only have a quarter inch of tank hanging off each side...but I would never do that, just because the stand/tank would have to look perfectly aligned or it'd bug me and I wouldn't be able to look at the tank without noticing it. I'm picky though...so...
