Tank going back up - I am so stoked!

Hi All,

I am FINALLY getting my tank together (after a four year hiatus). Drilled six holes in it this past Sunday w/ Mr. Brian, 2 for 2" bulkheads (yea, HUGE!), two for 1.5" and two for 1" (two closed loops). I siliconed them last night, and I can't wait to fill it up tonight. I'll post some pics along the way. Man, I wanna call in sick over the next week. I HOPE to have it going and cycled (thanks to some heavy live sand seeding over the next three weeks) for the frag swap March 1st. I would like some input on pumps for the closed loops. The tank is a 135 gal, and the 2" will be standpipes behind wiers for the the drains to the sump/skimmer/eventual surge buckets. The closed loops will be 1.5" inups, and 1" outputs. Any suggestions are welcome!

Welcome back!!

Sorry...not really a mod. Just an upgraded impeller you can buy for $40. I couldn't find a thread or anything on the reeflo site, but I pm'ed a guy that owns it. Hopefully, he has stats or some opinion about it.

Larz- I know you drilled already, but reeflo does have recommended sizes for holes for the rough gph you want. You might want to check their site.

Here is the info...

"Dart is 3600gph@0ft, 145watt average, 160watt peak, and max head of 12ft

Super Dart is 4300gph@0ft, 165watt average, 180watt peak, and max head of 13ft

+700gph, +20watt on average, +20watt at max, and +1ft of head

Sequence will be pushing the Super Dart more once the Gold series is out."
