Tank going into a room w carpet

Folks I'm moving and the room that will feature the tank has carpet. Tank is a 50 gal cube. I'm not planning on ripping out part of the brand new carpet. Hoping to hear what you have done in a situation like this. Was think of lying down larger tile loose but wondering if it'll snap and crack

I had 2 tanks set on carpets, never had issues. Most recent tank also on carpet

Mine is on carpet with no issues. I did use cardboard to level it out, just squares under the legs of my stand.

I put a 40g tank/stand on these furniture sliders in my office tank and it makes it easier if you have to somehow slide the tank over and also provides some protection for the carpet.

The one thing to watch for is the tack strip close to the wall. For some reason the back edge of my stands always seemed to perfectly sit on the tack strip, so the stand would slowly lean forwards as I filled it and the padding under the front compressed. I fixed this by putting a long thin wood shim (around 1/4") under the front and checking that it was still level a day or two after filling.

A glass tank would break before it slides if it's that large of a jolt. It doesn't slide that easily but it does make it easier to move a partially filled tank.

I have my 100g on carpet. No issues other than what has been mentioned about making sure your stand is level and plumb.

Get some foam padding that's designed to go under wood/laminate flooring. (Don't buy it)I usually pick some up from leftovers at a construction site or you could check with a flooring company for remnants. It's usually 1/8th to 1/16th thick, Attach it to the underside of the stand. What you don't want is moisture to get trapped between the carpet and the stand. Your going to get indentations no matter what you put there so I wouldn't worry too much about that or you could put a piece of plywood under the stand to spread out the weight a little.

My 80 is on carpet no issues I just shimmed under it to make sure it sits level
