just some background for those who haven't seen me lately: lost a female percula of a pair, successfully mated the male with an Australian percula. also added a cute little yellow tang.
our tank consists of:
- coral beauty [cranberry]
- citrus clown goby [kumkuat]
- yellow tang [pheobie]
- orange true percula [perky]
- black and while austrailian percula [felix]
- black sea urchin [black angus]
- bunches of little crabs [ i call them zerlings]
- many many sand/sea stars [ named nemo, and mylo, they keep spiliting haha ]
- sand sifter star [starry eyed suprise]
.............all of whom are going CRAZY!
i noteced a small little spot on the gobies fin like a week ago.
randomly, i remembered i wanted to dip him, and found the tank was going insane.
the coral beauty, has velvet everywhere, and his colors have faded. not to mention, sadly, he also seems to have bubble eye in both eyes.
the goby looks like hes going to die. he has big blotchy spots all over him, and isnt acting normally.
the black percula has whiteish on his fins and slight white on him. ( other than the normal white stripes,
)
the orange percula is happy and fine, go figure
the tang is okay, except his fins are spoty, and it sorta looks like fin rot, or whatever thats called.
in one day, the tank went crazy.
and to add insult to injury, while attempting to dip the little buggers, the coral beauty's fins got really damaged.
the good stuff: the parameters are all fine. there was a slight ammonia raise from our lettuce nudibranch dying and us being unable to find him. (RIP: LED LIGHT)
so now we have the coral beauty and the goby (the sickest) in a quarantine with some copper treatment. sigh.
does anyone have any success stories on something this extreme?
we have a reef tank, so we cant copper the whole thing.
we've done many water changes, as well as dips the last two days.
we are gonna do another water change tomorrow, and also clean the tank really well.
ANY HELP IS SO MUCH APPRECIATED!
