Tank Ideas and filtration

Hello,

I would like to start a 20 Gallon Nano like this one http://www.reefsavvy.com/20.htm but was wondering your thoughts on filtration. I was thinking of a canister filter on back like ehiem or such. Should i get it drilled on the back so i can connect hosing and look cleaner? Would you go with a hang on filter instead? I appreciate all your ideas! :wildone:

Honestly, for a 20 gallon nano cube, I would just buy a cube with everything in it: lights, filters, etc. and not really spend the extra time and money for extra overflows and filters.

depends on if its going to be on a stand, or counter top? I'd do a canister filter and drill the tank.

I have not decided if it will be on a stand or my night stand. I want to go with the tank from Reef Saavy as i am getting it in Optiwhite and have my Pick of either Metal Halides or LED Lighting at home. I do want to keep some SPS like Monti Caps and Birds Nest. Keep ideas coming please I apprciate them all.

I'm beating myself to death over the halide vs LED decision on my 125, but if I were starting a new 20 gal it would be LED for sure.
Sorry, just re-read original post. I have a 20 now and wish I would have bought a drilled tank and went with a sump. I have a Fluval hob filter and an Aqua C Remora hob skimmer.

Thanks for your thoughts. I was thinking of drilling it just in case later i want to add a sump i have the option. I am thinking for right now to use either a fluval or the JBJ canister. As for the lighting i will probably go with LED to avoid heating and electrical $$. I live in Miami so temp is an issue.
