Tank in garage?

Is it okay to store a tank in the garage where it is cold? It obviously isn't as cold as outside but any issues in storing the tank here while I get everything set up.

I'm assuming you mean empty and dry. If so I think you would be fine. Mine stayed in the garage until I was ready for the set up. good luck

I stored my 625g in the back room of my house (wasn't heated) all last winter with no problems.

Attached garage? Can't see many problems in our region.

But to be ultra safe, I'd try to keep temps stable. I'm no authority, but in my mind I can see silicone joints expanding and retracting during repeated large temperature swings. Personally I would avoid swings like this while in storage, just in case. A simple space heater would do the trick I would think. Just my 2 cents.

Yeah an attached garage. There aren't large temperature swings. It probably stays in the 50s almost all winter.

Yea you're fine. We're both in the same climate zone & keep spare tanks for QT etc in a similar situation for years with no problem.
