I will be setting up a tank designed to grow anemonies.....Just nems. Is a 55 gal big enough or should i go larger like a 125 for more stability? My main question is do u set up a nem tank like any other reef tank or are there differences that would make raising nems more succesful? How bout lighting? should i use mh and pcs or can i get by with t5s to avoid the heat...any help is greatly appreciated. Oh yea and where is the best source for obtaining nems?

Does depend on the species. I have two anemone-only tanks, one is a 24x24x12 with two medium sized S. gigantea carpets and some BTA's, and one is a 30x30x30 cube just for a single H. magnifica (whose size dictates the larger tank).

As far as tank setups go, generally set up as a reef does work, you can mix with corals but again depending on species of anemone and corals, some things will not tolerate being touched or stung by the anemone so you have to watch out for things.

Lighting, again, reef style lighting is best, but also again, does depend on species because some need more light than others. Although in general, they all tend to be able to handle as much light. So while one species may not need as much as another, you usually don't have to worry about giving "too much" light, they'll adapt upwards if need be.
