Tank Leak

Agreed to the above. Sell as a "non water" tank and cut your losses. It for sure sucks, but it will save you down the road. I bought a used 125 recently with stand. Had the tank half full of water before I realized the trim of the tank and the stand had a large gap from the wood being bowed. Ended up having to empty it and spend a few hundred building a new stand. I could of left it, but I might also be posting a house flooded with 125 gallons of water thread. You will have more than enough frustration in this hobby besides not having to worry about a tank leaking.

That's everyone for the advice. Since I already told the guy I would come and look at it I will be able to assess the damage. If it's just a surface chip I might get it. If the chip looks like it is or could potentially affect the seal then I guess I will be selling the whole setup as a reptile tank. Anybody interested? It was going to look like a crows nest from a pirate ship (with pirate flag, sails and all) when finished. Here's a pic of what it looked like before I finished the door.

Marineland sells hexagons. And every so often they run 50% off deals. Nice idea with the stand. Good luck.

Lol I have the same tank sitting in my driveway... Found on trash curb.... Has leak about 4" from top on one panel....
If you're in Florida you can have it.... Should be easy to seal... Hit on outside edge and then redo inside and should be good?
