Tank Mount Osmolator (No Sump)

Roger,

Need some insight on how to mount the universal osmolator (3155) on a tank. Using it on a sumpless system, the only options are attaching it to the tank frame itself (no idea how to rig the current erector set) or to silicone it to the tank directly.

Tried to search but of course it's too busy. Any insight? Any way I could get my hands on the additional mounting pieces if I'm missing them?

Thanks!
Jim

You would mount one sensor on each rail and the way the rail is assembled is a bit different to help bring the sensor up. Tomorrow I will try to get some pics up to explain. I do have replacement mounting kits.

Thanks Roger, I tried to find the instruction manual or a pdf of it online, but no dice.

Why don't you guys make a nice magnetic mount or hang-on mount for the sensors. I'm sure quite a few people would be interested in them. Seems easy enough to cut down the rails to half size and attach them. All you really need to account for is some minor adjustability in height and your set.

Or maybe we just need to start using frameless tanks on this side of the world. No-top-brace acrylic tanks certainly do look good if you have a tank out in the open with an open top. :)

The problem with the magnet holder is that the safety float switch works on magnetism so it can cause a constant high water signal. I can email you a PDF. I have forgotten your email address but if you could send a PM or drop me an email, I'll get it out to you. Today is going to be a bit crazy for me as I have several meetings and appointments so I won't be around much of the day, just give me some time.
