tank move

i gotta move my tank.. its going from my room to my new room upstairs.. i planned on keeping about 70% of the tank water.. what should i do about the sand bed?? should i remove completely and reseed a new sand bed, or should i just syphon out the existing sand bed like crazy?? does anyone have any tips for a tank move to make things smoother?? should i setup a holding tank for the corals or should i tear down and set rite back up?? any tips greatly appreciated.. thanks.. its a 29G..

i just went through a move on my 24gal nano cube...leave the sand bed alone unless you want years of detritus to enter your water column just move the tank with the sand bed as undisturbed as possible.....put a plate down on the sand and when you fiil with water pour the water on the plate and it will keep from stiring up all the sand
