can any of you please post pics of your mantis tanks? Ive been tinking of setting one up in a few months. and havent been able to see any complete tank photos. would like some ideas. thanks alot.

goldberg, ever have any problems with your mantis knocking over corals and so on?

i haven't had any problems yet. i've had the tank and my mantis for about 3 months. I just think that mantis have gotten a bad rap about messing with corals. He hasn't touched a thing.

As it was in the beginning:

What it looks like EARLY this morning (the snails were really ticked off I turned the sun on early):

Tim's a *****-cat with everything in the tank that doesn't walk (crabs) or crawl (snails). He has shooed away fish before (he lived with a sailfin blenny for a while and the a scooter (before the heater-pop)), but has never bothered a coral of any type. In fact, when I found him at the LFS he was living at the base of a colt coral and had done it no damage save to 'prune' it around his entrance.

My guy will bulldoze any rock in his tank. I put a caulerpa (i think) that was attached to a rock for free and put it in the tank. Same day i lchecked his tank the plants were buried under his pile of rocks and the rock was closing his entrance. My mushroom coral is remaining undisturbed though cuz its on tope his cave.
