Tank question

45 gal bowfront, the top of the tank theres what seems to be a brace, however its super flimsy plastic that is not supporting my glass hood, it just gets in the way of the lights and takes about 2 inches from the back where i could have more space to move it, however there was a sticker on the piece that says do no fill if broken, can i remove this or is this essential,

Probably proviedes strength from front to back. I would not remove it esp. if your tank is acrylic. These braces keep the front and back from bowing out of shape when the tank is filled with water. Cant imagine a mfgr putting the extra part in there without a reason. They spent the $$ on installing it there, dont remove....
