I think this raffle ramp up has been exesively prolonged. I say lets just do the meeting and raffle next month @ the Coral Reef. If we could not sell the tickets needed in seven months then we should just get it over with. This is just my .02, Club directors please chime in.

But aren't the proceeds first to cover TCR's expense of the system, then whatever is left goes to STARS in order to make the raffle official? I would ask the great people at TCR (Leanor and Daniel) to see what they have sold and what they need in order to get the system raffled. This way, you can post it here what is needed in order to raffle of the system. Just my .02

There are enough tickets sold to cover the tank and a very minimal amount left over that will go to the club. I just think that this raffle has taken too long. I say we do the Drawing and pay TCR their share and call it a day. At $3 dollars a ticket for a new complete reef ready 12g gallon tank it is a steal. Even if you dont plan to set it up it can be a great present for a family member ( get them hooked on the hobby)

True, but even with "enough tickets sold", does it cover the expense of the system? Has anyone spoken to Leanor or Daniel to see if the expense of the system v tickets sold is suffice to raffle off now? I would still contact TCR to see if the expense of the system has been met. If it has, I agree, this has gong on far too long and was swept under the rug. If not, I would post it on here as to how much is needed to raffle of the system. It's only fair since there is more of a risk to TCR and no risk to STARS. I know I wont win since I live somewhere else. Just asking questions.

As long as the cost is covered for the systen then by all means we can have the drawing. It is not a must be present to win raffle and was never meant to be. All we need now is a go ahead on a date and time from the great people at The Coral Reef for us to hold a meeting and have the drawing.

Ok everybody, the Raffle Drawing will take place this month. August 21st to be exact. The tickets are still for sale and are $3 dollars each. The two places to buy them now are from The Coral Reef and myself, Erik Guzman "mistaflicksta". If you still haven't bought any and need some you can go to the Coral Reef during normal hours or you can contact me (I live on the west side, go to school on the north east, and play softball on the east side) and I can sell you tickets. I only have 20 of them left so please feel freee to contact any of us to get a chance to win a 12 gallon Cadlights reef ready tank
