Tank raised rhizos?

Does anybody raise or are there tank raised rhizos?
A fish store I go to has 2 big ones in their DT that I go see every time I'm in there. I asked once about them and they are not for sale. And that they had been imported as "Japanese elegance".
Anyway last time I was in there they had 3 little "japanese elegance" about 3" long and 2-2.5" tall on frag plugs. So I asked if they were the same "japanese elegance" as in their DT. They guy told me that they came from a local person who had got a rhizo year ago and these were from it reproducing. And that the 3 they had there took about 3 years to get that big. I did end up claiming one.

rhizos occasionally show up in Ontario, but lately a lot more monomyces instead.
the story sounds a bit fishy to me, but what do i know.
please post a pic of yours :)

Here it is. Hopefully you guys think it's a rhizo.

don't think that's a rhizo. A few months back a lot of LFS were selling monomyces as rhizo's.

The tentacles emerge from inside the clamshell in a Rhizo; there is a very distinct mouth and there are walls along the body (septa). Also, the tentacles do not form a single regular row. Its a lovely coral nonetheless - as it matures you will get even better coloration.

Aww, I was hoping I finally found a rhizo. It is a very nice coral and the skeleton is a little more elongated then the ones in the DT where I oogle the 2 big ones. At least I know that it isn't a rhizo.
I guess most important question now is, what are the care requirements for monomyces?

Those are definitely not rhizos and are indeed monomyces. I've had them before and their care is similar to all large polyp NPS, as noy stated, meaty foods and lots of them.
