Tank sale a Petco

i just got back from petco on the east side of GB.

they are having a sale on tanks.

The cost is $1 per gallon on all standard rectangular tanks from 10 - 55 gallons.

This is going on until the 26th I believe. It wasnt well advertised and I just happened upon the little card stating the deal.

So, thought you all might like to know.

The petco in Appleton (Grand Chute) said that the 10g were not included on this deal, they were still 11.99 but this may not be true for your store.
They are All-Glass tanks also.
Notice that I do not captolize petco but All-Glass gets a thumbs up.

It may have said 20-55 on the sign.

yesterday i bought a 40 gallon breeder $40 what a deal! i was told the sale is for 20-55 gallon $1 a gallon and in store only they will not order you one. i heard aquaticworld is closing in a couple days is this true?

I went to the petco here in town and they had the same deal. It must be at least state wide. Also they said there shipment comes in on thurs, and to call to get what size you want. Just thought I would give an update.

Advertised deal stated that the biggest tank would be a 55 gallon.

Aquatic World has "gone out of business" so many times I have lost track. Funny thing is the same guy, Jim always is the "new" owner and it is always some kind of crazy story he tells people of why the place is or did go out of business.

Don't be surprised when a "new" store opens up maybe with a new name but with the same owner.

I'll stop in tomorrow and see what things look like, he's not too far from my house.

Limpit: Did you every swing by Aquatic World? I just stumbled across their site, and saw the "going out of business" stuff going on (again). Their tank prices seem pretty darn good, and I am looking for a big (200+g) tank. See anything worth my while?

No way, did they have any 40 gallon breeders left? Did you get it at the Petco by the mall? Thanks

The place is pretty empty now unless you are looking for 30 gallon or under tanks. He had a whole pallet of 10 gallon tanks for under $6 each but I think they were seconds.
They had one 250 or so (not drilled), a couple of 120's and a few other sizes here and there. I would call first before you make a trip down.

I felt bad for the marine fish he still has there, the tanks look horrible and the water temps were pretty low.

Every time I visit when there is a "going out of business sale" there I feel like i am in that movie "Ground Hog Day". Two years ago there was a going out of business sale and Jim (the owner) was there saying that he was selling the biz to a new guy and the place was going to really change for the better. I was in there again today to see if they had any 75 or 90 RR tanks and it was the same story as two years ago. Just makes ya wonder.
I could say more but I won't on this type of forum. I dealt with Jim years ago when I worked for a wholesaler in Milwaukee and have my opinions about the guy.
