tank size

I was wondering if it would be ok to grow coral in this tank for my main tank. (click the link) http://www.petco.com/Shop/petco_Pro...115_cp_2_Nao_12_sku_701106_familyID_4598.aspx Would I maybe be able to mod it to house a compact flouresent bulb?

My guess would be that it would be too small to be stable. Salinity, temperature, and pH would vary too much in such a small tank. I would try a simple 10g and triple your volume. It can be setup nicely with T5 or PC bulbs too. HTH

yes, you can grow some corals: zoos, shrooms, some easier to take care of corals. some people have pico tanks that is supporting those corals. i dont know about modding the hood because i never had any experience with the eclipse and never modded a retrofit before, but its not entirely impossible to do so
