One of my worst fears in this hobby is coming home to a flooded floor. I guess just be glad it was a small tank. I dread what would happen to my 90g. And those guys with 200g+ tanks? I don't know how they sleep at night. That is A LOT of water.

larger tank guys normally have controllers and alarms that tell us when there is water on the floor before it gets too bad..

Sorry but at lest you caught it before it drained completely.

Are those lights just balancing in end of PVC?

I have panoramas too and almost did the excat same thing but I found a pvc "T" called a "Snap T" at lowes. This is basically a T with the long part cut in half. This helps give the verticals a base and the T actually kind wraps around the tank rim.

Here are some pics of my PVC mounts:

Just would hate to see those lights fall in after you already saved the tank once.
