Tank Starter Kits / QT Tanks

I'm moving a pretty big tank within the next 2 months and though most things in the tank have died due to neglect, there is still a flame angel and a mandarin dragonet that seem to be in pretty good shape in the tank.

I have been in the early stages of meticulous planning for this move but I am trying to mitigate the risk of shock on these fish while I move all of the rock, equipment, etc... I think I'm going to set up a QT tank at the new location seeding it with substrate, water and rock from the larger tank. Then, once the larger tank is moved I can take my time setting up the rock, sump, etc...

Finally to my question, I don't want to spend a lot of money setting up this QT right now. Minimal lighting, filtration, etc... just minimum possible. Are there any decent kits on the market now that may be "starter kits" that come with a 10 gallon tank, basic lighting and filtration that would be suitable for this purpose? I've been away from the hobby for the better part of a decade.

It would be easy to keep the rock alive in a simple tub w power head & heater. A Pygmy Angel could be kept in a basic QT tank of the right size. The challenge will be keeping the mandarin fed properly during the transfer I would think. The best solution might be rehoming it in the ideal pod-rich if possible.

Assuming you have no coral. That requires different methods.

No corals in this tank anymore... Everything died long ago. My biggest concern is the mandarin, like you said. And in all honesty he doesn't fit with the rest of the stock we have planned for the tank.

I have serious doubts I can keep him alive in a simple 10 gallon tank with HOB filter and a few lb's of live rock.
