Tank survives move!

Well, everything survived the 5.5 hour trip from Hot Springs to here in Waxahachie, Tx. However, this is not an experience I'd care to go through again. EVER. Plus, my car AC is on the fritz, so when I drove down here it got fairly warm in the car. But everyone is alive.
My rockwork sucks right now, though. The water was so silty when I got the ready to re-do it, I had 2 inch visibilty. I'm waiting a few days for the stress on the livestock to fully wear off before I alter anything.

I also lost about 6 gallons of water, so had to make more. Not sure where it all went, except the approx. 1 gallon my cousin spilled in the back of my car!

So let me here from some local reef addicts ( I already found a LFS just 6 blocks walk from here) but interested in eventually meeting or talking to some of the locals..

Some of the water loss kight have been evaporation, depending on how you transported it.

In any case, moving sucks!

It's like when you dig a hole and then try and fill it back in,... There's never enough dirt! It's just one of those crazy little things in life that for some reason the entire world seems perfectally happy to ignore.

Hmm, I fared far less well than any of my livestock! Actually, my mom gave me some kinda of sinus infection or strep. Growwwlll!
I dunno about my liverock. The thing is, the way it is now opens up room for many new frags. The downside of course is my coralhead reef is off centered ( & a bit silty). I think I will move one piece of LR & keep this arrangement. After adding more corals, we will see..

Welcome to Texas, to bad you're in Waxahachie. Anyways, You are about an hour south of me and there are 2 really nice stores here in Dallas. One is Dallas North Aquarium and the other is The Fish Gallery
