I did have a very small problem with the red slime algea (cryno sp?), but after a few water changes and picking it out by had I have eliminated that problem. Now There is a green fuss growing on my rocks, glass, and sand. What might this be?
I see your experience is 1 year... Is that how long your tank has been up? If your tank has been up a year, have you replaced your light bulbs? Light shifts can start some nasty algae blooms.
The tank has been up for about 10 months and I have changed the bulbs about 1 1/2 months ago. I have seen pics of hair algee and it does not look the same. It is more like a fuss and sways in the water flow. I get a pic in a minute
I am new at this but if you have any snails, keep an EYE on them, if mine start acting funny I get them out. I have found when one dies a tank can get small crud to form fast.
