Tank update w/ pics

I have been meaning to post some pictures of my tank and thank all of you on URS who have helped me get the tank to where it is today. It is still a work in progress but I am happy its going as well as it is.

The tank was bought 2.5 years ago from someone who had not taken care of it, but it was a good deal. Since that time all that remains of its origins is the tank, stand and rock. I have slowly replaced everything else and built a sump and water change system this winter.

Comments are welcome, I plan to add and move some things this winter which time permits. I want to get a few more euphyllia as that is what I have some to enjoy.

FTS, hard to get on a round tank, and with my lack of skills

Is that an autofeeder on top? If so, what kind and how do you like it?

Its an Eheim Feed Air Automatic Feeder, I like having it. It feeds some new life spectrum and CYCLOP-EEZE flake shortly after lights on. I occasionally feed frozen then later in the evening.

beautifully soft look! liking your basement setup as well :)

My goal was to get as much into as little space as possible. Originally I wanted a 32 gallon brute under the tanks but it would not work out due to the sump size and height. So I have a 18 gallon tote for new saltwater and a salt bucket for kalk top off water. The tote is connected to the RO/DI with a shut off and ball valve so I can fill it automatically. I then have a mag pump to get the water from the tote to the fuge or sump. Old water drains to the basement sink from either the sump or fuge depending on the valves I open.

The lip around the tanks allows for rigid foam inserts to try to keep the heat in during the winter.

It all makes sense to me, but I love seeing people come over and look at it and just walk away not knowing how to ask what everything is.

Oh yeah that odd placement for the gorg in the upper left was complete mother nature. It started growing and I thought it was going to be aiptasia or such. Now its the biggest gorg in the tank. This fall I plan to remove it from the rock and frag it.
