Tank Update...

well, I have had the sand and water in the tank for a few weeks, and added the live rock last night. I did all my test and this is what I have so far.....

PH...............8.3
Calcium.......420 ppm
ALk.............2.0
Dkh.............12
Kh................214.8 ppm
Phosphate....0
Nitrate.........0
Nitrite..........0
Ammonia......0

when am I good to start adding coral??

you were bound to have some die off from the new LR, unless GWA packed it in water. I would add a clean up crew first and see how that goes. Slow is best in this hobby. JMHO
What type of lighting do you have? good luck

i have a coralife aqualite pc 65 watt fixtue with 50/50 bulb, I know that going slow and patients is need for this hobby, I was just curious! thanks! oh I will check the light tonight and post tomorrow, my computer shut down and I have to use my girlfriends....

If your alk is 2.0 meq/L, then your dKH is 2.0x2.8=5.6. Or, is your dKH 12 and your alk really 4.3?

um, well the dkh and kh are form the same test kit , and the alk test is from a different test kit, so I will retest and tell you, sorry! I bought a test kit for its ph test kit and bought a different one the other day when I was at gateway...Ill post tomorrow when I am at home! thanks, but Its been pretty constant form the old test kit so id geuss 4.3 but I will double check
