Tank with no powerheads (just zoas)

Trying to set up the world's simplest tank.

Nuvo 10
Theotherm heater
Kessil A80
Sicce .5 return pump

Plan is to have two clowns and zoas.

Think I could get by without a powerhead if it's just zoas?

Zoas don't need heavy flow per se - but enough to keep detritus (and other "junk") from settling on them.

I definitely think you could..your return pump should supply enough circulation to keep Zoss happy. I have around ten different types of zoanthids, and they do well with either flow, just not strong direst flow.

That article had nothing to do with my question. Anyway, I'll beef up the return pump to get a little more movement. Thanks!

I set a couple of 40 gallon tanks for anemones that don't have powerheads for obvious reasons. It works fine as long as the return pump is strong enough.

It was not intended to answer your question but to inform you of the dangers associated with Zoas and the precaution to take.
