Tanked vs fish tank kings

I like them both however the biologist on FTK is really freakkng annoying. Although everyone around the forums hates these shows, I'm only in the hobby because of tanked. It spawned my interest last fall and now 2 tanks later I'm loving it (the hobby). Yes I realize how terrible their practices are, no I don't put hose water in my tank without a cycle haha. But it's entertaining and you get to see cool fish and cool tanks. People don't realize that in business deadlines are everything. Unfortunately that doesn't change in this hobby and tanks have to be made, setup and filled in an incredibly fast manner because that's what the customer wants. Just like any business on earth losses occur (dead fish) and as a hobbyist it sucks but you move on they're fish not humans. God made them for us anyway. And people want what they want, if they want a tang in a 75 gallon tank guess what no matter what anyone says they're gonna have it. Try telling your wife you can't have that fish it ain't gonna happen. Anyway my .02 cents which nobody cares about haha.

they are pretty much the same except fish tank Kings shows their biologist while tanked doesn't. It's more of an east coast west coats thing with 2 different channels having pretty much the same show! Tanked has more interesting aquariums in my opionion and also the two hot Babes in the office...LOL

Tanked got me in the hobby and they are likeable. A friend of mine did an install with them last week and they leave local companies to take care of the maintenance for the first few months. Tank kings i wanted to like but they cant have people with worse attitudes and personalities. After 2 episodes i cancelled tank kings from my tivo
Tanked is way better. I think alot of the good stuff they do gets edited out and we dont see it. The tv land people are gonna edit and make the show however they want. If they showed ever detail of a tank setup some people would be bored. Bad thing is alot of people think they are giving the hobby a bad rap. The Fish Tank King guys are boring and annoying.

Hate fish tank kings. I've seen 3 episodes and still haven't seen them actually build a tank. And like everyone said the staff is annoying. And they all treat the "fish geek" like crap which doesn't make any sense. Tanked is way better. They actually build really cool tanks. The spade tank for the tatoo guy was awesome.

yeah but the "fish geek" does have an attitude problem that causes his treatment. The boss is kind oF a "dick" too. Typical business man more about the money than the fish but at least they have QT set up before they add the fish, unlike tanked(or they don't ever show any anyways)

Tanked is funny. They may have some bad practices like not qt'ing fish before throwing them in the tank but they do get there fish from a very good compony that does ( exotic reef imports) , they have also shown that they use bacterial supplements like bio spira. If anyone is paying for what they do I'm sure insane amounts of bio spira are in the tank for all these big spenders. When I see some of these tanks though I'm guessing that alot of them must be a maintenance nightmare and end up looking unwell after not too long.

As much as I used to think Tanked was silly, I like it a lot more now, especially after seeing FTK. That show is terrible!!
