my tank has hit zero's, besides nitrates which is at 5(still trying to get it down by removing the sponge). but I think I can add some livestock, what do ya'll suggest first? I would like to have a goby and a pair of perc's is all for fish, if its possible in my little 14. But the goby is a must and a pistol shrimp is a must aswell. Other than that I'm open to suggestions. Someone else suggested I get a sixline, what do ya'll think? what do ya'll suggest on a cleanup crew for a 14 BC?

I'm also considering buying an autotopoff, since friday I had probably 1/4 gallon evap...crazy.

Whats the BC stand for? What kind of goby were you looking at? I have a yellow watchman goby in my 20L and he hangs out in the front of the tank in his cave. he was a hidder at first, but has became more eager and comes out a great deal! Maybe one day I will get him a pistol to hang out with..

BC stands for biocube, its an all in 1 system. I'm not sure on which kind of goby, just want the pistol/goby pair

sounds good, what about a goby ? can you get your hands on any zoas frags? let me know, when you have time?

the high fin banded is a goby . high fin banded goby sorry about that. I can get you some zoas too, come up here with some money sometime, and ill hook you up with some zoas from aquatic vision. I can get you like 5 for 10$ small frags.

man I would love to get over there, but thats just to long of a drive..ya know? I might just add a clean up crew and let em at it for a couple weeks. I'm starting to get ahead of myself, I really want to take it slow on adding livestock..lol.

In the old days, the rule for saltwater thumbs was to add one new tank inhabitant per month, along with 20-40% water changes, this keeps the ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels down…

I agree with Acolin - nice and slow mainly with fish and water changes have really made a difference for me. My tank (75g) is now 6 months old but I still haven't picked all my fish out. I make sure I don't add very much at one time - 1 week fish, wait two weeks then add a few corals. It has worked for me so far. I just started a new 29g will be getting LR tomorrow at Marine Warehouse - can't wait.

If you have any free time we could meet at the fish store - just let me know. I'll be there around 11 or so - I can bring you a free zoa frag.

its cool, I'm not sure on exact clean up crew. I'm still kinda researching it. As of right now I have 10 small hermits, nothing else. I dont want to add any fish right now though b/c I will be leaving for days at a time during the holidays. When I start next semester, the7th, I'll probably add a pistol goby of some sort.

its not that 45min is that far, but there and back would eat up atleast a 20 spot in gas..lol, almost defeats the purpose.
