Tanks moved into the new house.

It was quite a job but I was able to get the tanks moved into the new house. Still have some aquascaping to do but they are moved in at least.

Please excuse the fact that they aren't saltwater.

Here is the other one.

I just heard about this move this evening, from Kevin (friend of Walts (and mine of course)).
I would have helped if I had known.

South American cichlids. Very nice Lowcel. You ought to try the new Fluval FX5 canisters on that tank. They are truly an awesome filter. Looks like you're running two of some kind. You would only need one of the FX5's. You still mountain bike any? We rode Kanawha SF a few times last year.

The move was a lot of fun....honest! That was the first time I met Kevin, very nice guy. The actual moving of the tank wasn't too bad. Emptying it sucked and refilling it sucked even more. My wife packed away the sink adaptor for the hose somewhere. I still haven't found it. We ended up filling up the tank (210 gallons) with two gallon buckets.

What are those fish in the first two shots?

Like jmccown said, mostly South American cichlids. There are two neets, a red devil, a barred midas, two viejas (one black belt), one giant gourami, one common pleco, five silver dollars. All of the cichlids are wild or f1's from Jeff Rapps at Tangled Up in Cichlids.Tangled Up In Cichlids.

I thought about going with an FX5 but I've just never been a fan of Fluval filters. No matter how much research I do on Fluval just about everything I have read has been negative. I'm a huge eheim fan. I have two eheims (a 2028 and a 229) in this tank as well as one Filstar XP3.

I do still mountain bike but not nearly as much as I used to. I am concentrating on the road bike these days and doing road races. So far I have done one race this year with many more to come.

Ouch...that did suck.
I thought it was a PITA when I filled a 20g with a gallon jug :D
